The sire, Lilliano OLD, won silver at the Bundeschampionat for three-year-old stallions under Christiane Schulte-Varendorff before becoming Oldenburg Vice State Champion. Series victories in dressage tests for young horses followed in Austria, also at international level. At the age of eight, Lilliano OLD made his debut under Olympic champion Dorothee Schneider with another series of victories in the advanced level.
