The dual-purpose Captain Müller MT owes his name to his breeder, Bayern Munich star and World Cup champion Thomas Müller. This show jumping and dressage talent first stepped into the spotlight in 2017 as a foal. Under the name “Cornet’s Creature,” he became the top-selling foal at the foal auction held during the Global Champions Tour in Berlin. Two years later, he was named first reserve champion at the Westphalian licensing. As a three-year-old, he completed a 14-day test that, as expected, earned him high marks.
In his show jumping debut at age four under Heinrich Richter, he placed second in a Show Jumping A class with a score of 8.3. He also received scores up to 8.6 in his competition in Verden, finishing in fourth place. At age five, Captain Müller MT competed in Show Jumping M-level classes with scores in the 8s.
Captain Müller MT then moved to the stable of dressage team world champion and Olympic team silver medalist Daniel Bachmann Andersen (DEN), with whom he immediately recorded his first victories in the arena with scores over 73 percent.
His sire, Cornet Obolensky, has been among the top ten in the WBFSH World Rankings of the best show jumping sires for years - and currently holds the top spot. Countless show jumping stars, led by European Champion Clooney/Martin Fuchs/SUI, European Team Vice-Champion Comme il faut, and World Championship Team Fourth-Place finisher Cornado NRW - both ridden by Marcus Ehning - as well as Aachen runner-up Balou Du Revention/Brian Moggre/USA, trace their lineage back to the founder of the BWP line. At the age of eight, Cornet Obolensky already won the Super League Final under Marco Kutscher. In 2008, he was named to the German Olympic team. Furthermore, Cornet Obolensky was part of the German European Championship gold-medal team in Madrid, Spain, in 2011.
The dam, St.Pr.St. Gitania, is a half-sister to Coburn (by Cardento), who celebrated international show jumping successes first under Christian Kukuk and then Arundell Beerbaum/GBR, and to Elegant (by Zavall VDL), who also placed in 1.45-meter show jumping.
The Belgian maternal sire Gaillard de la Pomme, a product of the mating of Nabab de Rêve to the top mare Narcotique de Muze II, initially competed in international show jumping under Wesley Mulder (NED) and Dani G. Waldmann (ISR). Among his most notable offspring are the Aachen runner-up Finn Lente (ridden by José María Larocca Jr./ARG), as well as Fair Play (ridden by Jonathan Corrigan/IRL) and G’s Fabian.
Granddam Verb.Pr.St. Elena is a full sister to the 1.45-meter show jumper Royal Esquido, as well as a half-sister to the CIC2* eventing horse Figo (by For Joy) and to Colandrino (by Colandro), who has also enjoyed international success.
The pedigree includes Escudo I, Grossadmiral and Lucky Boy xx.
