Son of Argentinus and full brother of August der Starke OLD - with August der Dritte a breeding rarity is available. August der Dritte completed his stallion performance test in Redefin in 2010 as Reserve Champion, clearly dominating the jumping index with 130.60 and taking fourth place in the dressage index with 118.38. For the athletic, double-bred bay continues to earn valuable placings in tests for young show jumpers and dressage.

Initially covered only a few times, August der Dritte placed with Giacomo Agostini FR, a highly successful show jumper in international CSI2* tests.

The sire Argentinus is, just like the dam's sire Landadel, a versatile sire. His offspring, successful on the course, including World Cup winners Anka/Marcus Ehning and the European Championship team bronze medalists Asti Spumante/Thomas Mühlbauer, helped Argentinus to become one of the top ten best jumping sires in the world (according to WBFSH). His offspring were also ahead in dressage, especially the European Team Champion Albano/Heike Kemmer and the Grand Prix series winner August der Starke OLD under Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT. The latter produced the also licensed Burg-Pokal winner, fifth at the European Championships and sixth at the World Championships, Augustin OLD with Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT.

Besides August der Dritte and August der Starke OLD, the dam Elinda also produced St.Pr.St. Granulita (by Granulit), the dam of the Celle state stud stallion Comte (by Comtendro I) who was successful up to advanced (S*) level show jumping and of the likewise licensed Cipriani (by Cassini II), as well as several advanced (S) level show jumpers.

The great-great-granddam, St.Pr.St. Palla (by Pokal), is the dam of two internationally successful Grand Prix horses, Flashdancer (by Freiherr) and Goldfinger (by Grundewald), ridden by the Irish rider Anna Merveldt-Steffens.

From the Elfenröschen line there are further licensed stallions and successful sport horses.
