Monday 13. August 2018
Patrik Kittel almost had his fourth victory at the Dressage Cappeln International.

The Swede was unbeatable in the in the Grand Prix with Well Done de la Roche CMF and with Elvive in the Inter A and Inter II in the medium tour. In the Grand Prix Special, the main competition on the third day of the four star dressage competition that has now taken place for the fifth time on the grounds of the stud Vorwerk of family Max-Theurer, the swede had to bow to his compatriot and student, Juliette Ramel. She rid her twelve-year-old KWPN gelding, Buriel K.K. KWPN to 76.00 %. Patrik Kittel was 0.7 percentage points behind her on his ten-year-old Swiss mare Well Done and therefore on the second place. Tinne Vilhelmson Silfven with Don Auriello completed the success for the Swedes with the fourth place (73.42 %). In between, on the third place, was the Danish Daniel Bachmann Andersen with his licensed Blue Hors Don Olymbrio (73.53 %).

Victoria Max-Theurer made it to the second place with her young horse Benaglio in the Inter A and the Inter II. “I’m very pleased. Benaglio is becoming more and more secure and natural and now he only has to gain a bit more strength. We’re on a good path.” Right behind the winning Pair, Patrik Kittel and Elvive, and the second place, Victoria Max Theurer with Benaglio, was Christoph Niemann with his ten-year-old Hanoverian Don Frederico-daughter Donna Felice in third place.

The lady of the house, Sissy Max-Theurer, was excited about the audience’s interest: “We have grown from year to year and were able to welcome top-class riders, above all the World Ranking first, Isabell Werth with her beloved horse Bella Rose, who has warmed up with superior victories in the Grand Prix and the freestyle for the World Equestrian Games in Tyron/USA.”

At the Dressage Cappel International eDressage was used once again. The computer system allows for the immediate announcement of the results right after the performance, while getting rid of hand-writen protocols and score sheets. The mind behind edressage is Daniel Göhlen and his BlackHorse One Software Company, which is also responsible for the smartphone app Spectator Judging, together with SAP. This allows the audience to unofficially take part in the judging. “After successful test runs in the American Wellington, Austrian Achleiten, Luxembourgian Leudelange and now also Cappeln we are completely convinced of eDressage. With it comes a reduced workload and the immediate announcement of the results makes the sport even more exciting”, Sissy Max-Theurer explains.

The date for the sixth edition of Dressage Cappeln Internation is already fied for the 25th-28th of July 2019.
